Title

Consecration: The monks arrive and assemble, 1987

Description

The monks arrive and assemble on the long platform before the altar. The monks arrange themselves according to seniority with those who have been in the Order for the greater number of rainy seasons sitting closer to the altar. For this ceremony seven monks have come from other temples; the more monks that are present the greater the significance of the ceremony.
