Buddha Statues and candles arranged for the Rain Retreat. The Vossa, or Rain Retreat, is the three months annual practiced during which the monks are required to remain at the temple in order to concentrate on religious study and the practice of meditation. These photographs depict the Vossa in 1987 in the Greater Lowell area.
